Victor Vran Overkill Edition

Become Victor, hunter of demons. Forge your own hero on a quest to liberate the cursed city of Zagoravia. Explore ‘Motörhead: Through the Ages’ – a wild tour through the mythos of the loudest band in the world, and enter the Fractured Worlds, a dimension formed from the fragments of broken realms. This review consists of my experience while playing Victor Vran.

My first reaction when playing Victor Vran is how similar it is to Diablo 3. Diablo 3 is one of my favorite games for its challenge and also the overall gameplay. Victor Vran is just as fun and runs really great on the Switch. The Overkill Edition comes with all the DLC and boasts some the best RPG gameplay on the Nintendo Switch. The enemies in the game are diverse and never get stale. In the game world, there are so many places to explore, each with huge battles awaiting you. I had some such a good time blowing through enemies, using different weapons and powers.

While the game isn’t as good as Diablo 3, Victor Vran offers players on Nintendo Switch the chance to experience a top down action RPG for the first time. When first jumping into Victor Vran you can choose between Zargorvia or Motorhead, with the option of Fractured World available later. During the game you can switch between Causal Mode and Normal Mode. Each mode presents a different challenge with normal the harder of the two modes. The combat in Victor Vran is really easy to get into and lots of fun. You will spend countless hours destroying armies of enemies, which never gets old. The only real problem with Victor Vran is that it leaves you longing for more when its over.

Victor Vran looks amazing the on Switch. I’m not a fan of top down RPGs but this game works so well. The monsters look really good and the overall game world is beautiful. This is one of the best looking Nintendo Switch titles currently on the console. I never found any texture problems or frame rate issues. I found this to be really impressive. The voice acting was the only thing I found annoying about the game. The voice acting was really sub par and didn’t impress me.

Overall I really enjoyed Victor Vran: Overkill Edition, its one the best games I’ve played on the Nintendo Switch. I hope that we get another game with Victor Vran and the adventures continues.

Overall Score: 4/5

  • Amazing Action RPG
  • One of the best games on Switch
  • Fun from start to finish
